AXO is a reference to Axolotl. An Axolotl is a salamander which is native to parts of Mexico. The Axolotl has the fairly unique ability to regenerate. For us as a new business as well as for the context we operate in – the energy transition of the electricity sector – the ability to regenerate comes quite handy. For this reason we like the animal and we chose a shortened version of Axolotl – AXO – to be part of our company´s name.

If you want to use AXO Energy´s platform you will enter into an agreement with AXO Energy. Per this agreement a success fee is payable by the seller of a PPA to AXO Energy in the event that a PPA is concluded with AXO Energy´s help.

You sign up on our website in the Buyer´s section, in case you are a potential PPA buyer or the Seller´s section in case you are a PPA seller. In a second step AXO Energy will vet all access applications. After successful conclusion of the vetting process you will receive access to the AXO Energy platform.

In case you want to post PPA buying or selling interest on the AXO Energy platform you need to register first. Once registered, you have to inform AXO Energy about your interest to buy or sell a PPA, as the case may be. AXO Energy will send you a form that you populate with all files that you wish to share on the platform and another form which you can populate with all information (that are not files) that you wish to share on our platform. AXO Energy will ensure the information provided by you will posted on the platform. You also determine who will see your information.

At this point the platform has more a bulletin board type character. It is not possible to transact on the platform. On the platform PPA sellers can make available information regarding their projects to potential PPA buyers. PPA buyers can make available information regarding their PPA buying interest.
